Who are we?
Rotary is an international voluntary club organization that unites 1.2 million members-leaders who solve various problems.
All the Rotary Clubs of Kharkiv united to implement the humanitarian project “Rotary for Children of Heroes”, that aims to support children who lost their parents due to the russian aggression against Ukraine.

Why is it important?
It happens that our lives are divided into “before” and “after”. And in each “after” we have to learn to live again…
From the first days of russia’s full-scale invasion of our country, most of the men stood up to defend it. Until now, they are fighting against the aggression that suppresses our lives and the lives of our children.
Since February 2022, over 4000 of Ukrainian children whose fathers gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence have become semi- or fully orphaned because of russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In Kharkiv region over 450 children. Unfortunately, this number increases every day.
WHAT WE DO
Areas of activities
Medicine:
- psychological and emotional support families with children. Organization of work of psychologists and psychotherapists with children, widows and parents of dead warriors;
- dental help for children;
- assistance in carrying out complex operations, including those outside Ukraine.
Education:
Providing laptops and tablets for children so as educational process organized on line;
conducting master classes in various areas: music, paintings and also economic literacy.
Legal consultation
Legal consultation of families, explanation of family rights;
the state's obligations to provide benefits for this category
HOW WE SEE IT
Our Mission
russia’s military aggression has brought losses, injuries, uncertainty, fear and anxiety to families. Our children have lost their normal routine and orderly lives. We must save and protect those who will become the future of our country. War has no days off or holidays, and children and their parents need help every day.
Our project aims to provide relief and support to families in a situation of fear and uncertainty by providing them with a quick and effective tool that will not only explain everything but also provide a solution to the problem right now.
We are trying to provide children with basic needs, education and leisure, and restore the children’s psyche destroyed by the war. Uncertainty, fear and high levels of stress affect such families, especially children.
We want every family and child to have a chance to be happy. Today, our lives are unpredictable, but the belief in a happy future and the support of people gives us the strength to keep going.
